WHO ARE LOVING HUMANS

In 2008 Loving Humans started with providing food and water to the homeless in London. The charity quickly grew, touching more and more people, expanding into other cities including Lahore in Pakistan and Rudrapur in India.

So far we have helped 124,116 people and the number continues to grow.

Along the years we noticed that people wanted more than food; looking for an opportunity to earn a living and stand on their own feet. Thus in 2016 the Loving Humans - School of Skills project was born, now helping a large number of women and orphan girls by teaching them a skill and helping them become independent.

OUR STORY SO FAR...

In the past 3 years, the Loving Humans - School of Skills has helped more than 735 women in Pakistan become independent.

After learning about their history and plight, and with the support of our current donors and volunteers, we created a bespoke plan for each woman to learn a vocational skill in the shape of a three-month course.

The training subjects include tailoring, embroidery, hair & makeup, basic reading and writing, basic math, basic computer & internet skills. Each was taught by a professional in the field, for example, established bridal make-up artists, tailors with large businesses, fashion designers, and many more.

OUR SUCCESS STORY

During the training period, the families’ short-term needs for food were taken care of with ration packs provided by Loving Humans. At the end of the three months, Loving Humans ensured all students were placed into either an existing business or given the tools to start their own business from home.

Today, all those women are employed, able to feed their families and have a self-sufficient living. In some cases they were so successful, they were able to start their own business and employing people.

Feeling independent and successful, the students rapidly referred a large number of women to Loving Humans, pushing the Loving Humans team to strive for greater facilities and continue helping women become independent.

Currently, our students are spread out across the city and training often takes place in various locations. The ration and training arrangements are made and paid for by Loving Humans Charity. The lack of infrastructure, routine and consistent teachers leads to inefficiency slowing the process of training the students.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to open the first Loving Humans - School of Skills in 2020, where we can expand the project into a building infrastructure with regular courses, open to all vulnerable women who want to become independent.

With your monetary contribution, you will be helping orphan girls and widows learn a life skill, earn a decent living and protect themselves and their families from the disgrace of begging and the horrors of prostitution.

WE URGENTLY NEED TO RAISE £60,000 IN ORDER TO RUN OUR SCHOOL WHICH WILL CATER FOR MORE THAN 1000 STUDENTS (WIDOWS AND ORPHAN GIRLS) PER YEAR.
